Baby Dean is trying so hard to sit up so we got him a Bumbo like chair to help him. The coolest thing about this chair is the tray with a toy insert- baby companies are genius.

So my mom has been way two overwhelmed to blog about me but I have had a few ACTION packed months since the last post. I am LOVING tummy time, totally interactive and making my shreeks to moms voice, smiling TONS, and loving my big sister. I bring lots of joy to my house and I am the little man! My mom is going to be way better at blogging about me because I am VERY IMPORTANT and worthy of my own blog posts!

This little guy is for sure a mama's boy and I admit, I like it! He is such a cutie- I will post some pics in the next week or so but his hair is so FUNNY right now. It is a perma mohawk and has grown back to the back of his head but now lots of dark hair is growing in...it is so cute. He gives me SMILES all the time and even has some laughs. He melts my heart.

Baby has his favorite little toy(I think it's a horse but not sure) that accompanies him in his carseat and on his little playmat- if you watch his little friend visits and baby gets SO EXCITED. Since I am a fan of naming things, we will call this toy Sanford...

Two Month Checkup

Pardon the redeye :) Announcing the two month checkup- stats are 13 lb 9 ounces and 24 inches. Height and weight are in the 90 percentile- he is a BIG BOY! He got his shots and cried while they were giving them but then once in mommy's arms just stopped crying and fell asleep. I LOVE mornings with him. He does not cry, just lays and waits for me to come and get him. He gives me HUGE SMILES! Sleepless nights are well worth those morning smiles. He is such a little angel, I love him dearly!

I am really becoming a big boy now, I smile all the time! I giggle in my sleep. I no longer cry during baths. I love to cling to my mom and just snuggle. I am living the life!

Wow, the time sure flies! This Friday Baby Ryan will be 6 weeks old. His current weight is 13.2 lb- such a big baby! He is pretty strong with holding his head up and I think he's almost got it down without wobbling. He actually pulls with his arms and pushes with his legs which is amazing to me. Yesterday, he actually rolled. I can already tell this guy is so full of life and I know he is just going to love when he can play with Kylee! Kylee loves her baby brother and anytime he cries she runs saying, "I have GOT to go help him, COMING!" Below, see the picture of Ryan's new toy- he absolutely loves this thing and can sit in amazement for a good hour which is impressive and I slightly enjoy that he is content for a bit. I would also like to add that his onesie says,"Property of Mom- Forever" So true, at least for 18 more years!

Baby Announcement and Welcome New Visitors

Ryan was born on December 12th and we were so proud that we got the pictures all taken and the birth announcement created and sent to the printers on December 20th. We ordered all of the announcements online and they took FOREVER to get here. We finally received them on January 2nd and unfortunately, they did not send the birth announcement or the holiday card that we ordered. Instead, they sent us 160 5 by 7 pictures of me(Jen) after giving birth to Ryan. I really did not want to send those out to everyone, so I resubmitted our order and now I am sure you are all starting to visit the site from seeing it on the announcement. Feel free to visit this site whenever you'd like, I try to post pics weekly and if any landmarks ever arise(maybe sleeping through the night), I will be sure to post about it!

Kylee and Me

Kylee just LOVES her baby brother and is such a good helper. We have no reported incidents or attempts at injury from her yet, but we do keep our eyes hooked on her...we are just waiting for her to share some type of food, LOL. She loves giving him hugs and tickles him all the time!

Two Week Checkup

We took Ryan Jr. in for his two week checkup today and HE HAS GROWN SO MUCH! He now weighs 10 lb 4 ounces and is 22 inches! He is in the 90th percentile for both height and weight. I have been feeding this little ham so much so it made me feel good that he had gained some weight- good job little guy!

Baby's First Bath

We have been giving baby a warm washcloth bath until his umbilical cord fell off and now we have upgraded to this fun Rainforest bathtub. As fun as it looks and as calming as it was supposed to be, not so much. Ryan screamed the whole time- both of them, haha-JK! Little man did scream the whole time but afterwards he slept wonderfully. One thing we were amazed by was when we were getting him out we were holding his arms and he is already pushing himself up with his little legs- what a little muscle man!

I cannot believe it but at 10pm last night, I finished feeding Ryan and put him to sleep. As the clock approached 11, I was getting nervous that maybe I should be sleeping because I only had a good hour if that to get some sleep and if this night was like the last, he could be eating every hour and I wouldn't even have a chance for sleep. When you are so sleep deprived, you don't even have to get into sleep mode, you just need to close your eyes. I could literally fall asleep anywhere at any time if I really wanted to- I am that tired. Anyways, I went right to sleep and to my suprise, I didn't wake up until 1am...then at 4am...then at 7am! How nice- I am hoping this works out to be a schedule because I will take this any night! I think Ryan was exhausted because of pics all day- in the morning he took his pics for his baby announcement and in the evening we attempted at family pics. The pics were some from today but of course I am saving the best for the announcement!

Little man must be on a growth spurt of some sort today because no lie, he ate every hour today starting at 6am Tuesday hopefully ending right now at 3am Wednesday. I had many moments today where there was just nothing left for him to eat and he was getting very frustrated. Tonight I topped him off with an ounce of formula and hopefully he will sleep for two hours, LOL. The other nights so far have been wonderful with him doing a 8pm-12am sleep and a 1am-4am which I totally can do. Tonight has just been out of whack like the whole day so I am hoping someone is not as hungry tomorrow. If so, I might have a 15lb baby by his two week visit :)

I do have to tell you we are beginning to see the confusion with having two Ryans in the house- so for this post we will go with Sr and Jr, LOL. This is Ryan's bouncer, aka "Man Chair." This was Ryan Sr proud registry pick and it even comes equipped with an Ipod jack to use with the lovely speakers. I think in the next few years we will see flat screens showing up on bouncers and swings. Ryan Jr LOVES this chair- he even already stretches out to grab the wooden toys, little man is very strong! I was not a fan of this chair at first because it did not look soft like the others but it really is comfy and he loves the lullabies that we loaded on the Ipod. About the lullabies...one day we were looking at Best Buy for Kylee a CD and spotted Rockabye Baby Metallica- I was thinking what is this? We purchased it and instantly fell in love with it- turns out they have many favorite bands...check out this link http://www.rockabyebabymusic.com/web/page.asp to listen- it is awesome baby music. Right now little man likes Bob Marley, No Woman No Cry. He is learning early! It is amazing with a boy how you do not need to plan color coordination- it just happens and is called blue. I loved this outfit on him- very comfy and he just loves this puppy. It is very SOFT and CUDDLY...

Meeting Kylee

Kylee is obsessed with babies so no wonder she loves Ryan so much! Kylee was excited to have him finally arrive and loves to help baby brother out. Ryan Jr looked around when he heard Kylee coming- he knew her voice from hearing her talk to my belly each day. They are just darling together!
